The Melrose Switch
Looking South at the Safety Track Switch.
Note that the switch is set to the Safety Track.

The mail line veers to the left.
the silver bar on the Right Rail is propane heater.
this is found on both sides of this switch to keep ice at bay.
All switches have the heaters and are remotely controlled by
the Asheville Train Master.
